For this newly refurbished, five-storey family home – extending to approximately 3,150 sq ft – at Gloucester Walk, we curated a scheme that seamlessly marries classic elegance with contemporary refinement. The brief: a Rose Uniacke style look.
In one of Kensington’s most coveted residential addresses, this stunning property offered the perfect canvas to balance timeless silhouettes with modern craftsmanship, resulting in spaces that feel both sophisticated and effortlessly livable.
The raised ground floor, devoted entirely to entertaining, was styled to enhance its natural light and grand proportions. Pale limewashed oak floors set a calm, cohesive foundation for the sculptural Arabescato marble fireplace, while tailored furniture pieces emphasise the openness created by tall sash windows.
On the garden level, we highlighted the beauty of the white Crittall doors leading onto the south-facing garden, complementing them with soft, layered textures and finishes that echo the Carrara marble worktops. The adjacent media was dressed to enhance those deep, rich brown walls, while we made the extra bedrooms serene and inviting. Above, the principal suite occupies the entire top floor—a dramatic, vaulted sanctuary, which we speckled with gentle tonal accents that sit harmoniously alongside the marble-clad bathroom in Carrara and Calacatta, and the tranquil south-facing terrace.
Completing the home, a beautifully appointed duplex apartment on the lower levels was styled to demonstrate its flexibility, whether for guests, staff or dedicated workspace.
