At Phillimore Terrace, the styling exudes a sophisticated interplay of architecture, art, and furniture, creating a home that feels effortlessly curated. Artwork takes centre stage throughout, anchoring each room and guiding the eye while complementing the period features of this elegant Kensington property. Oversized paintings, subtle landscapes, and sculptural pieces punctuate walls and surfaces, adding both drama and intimacy in equal measure. Each piece is carefully scaled to the room, enhancing proportions and harmonising with natural light to create moments of visual delight.

The living and reception areas are styled with a balance of comfort and elegance. Plush sofas, low-profile armchairs, and sleek occasional tables are arranged to encourage conversation and highlight the artwork, while layered rugs and textured cushions add warmth. Statement artworks above consoles or mantels act as visual anchors, while smaller drawings and sculptures provide rhythm, drawing attention across the room and creating a curated, gallery-like feel without ever appearing formal or staged.

In the dining space, the furniture underscores the room’s function while complementing the artistic narrative. A sculptural dining table with contemporary chairs creates a sense of occasion, while carefully chosen art above sideboards or along feature walls adds depth and personality. Here, furniture and art work in tandem: pieces of differing scale and texture are layered to feel considered yet approachable.

Throughout the home, furniture choices — from classic period pieces to contemporary designs — are thoughtfully paired with artworks to enhance flow and harmony. Side tables, consoles, and shelving not only provide functional surfaces but also offer the perfect stage for smaller art and objects, allowing the eye to move fluidly through each space. The result is a home that feels dynamic yet cohesive, where furniture, textiles, and art converge to tell a story of refined, lived-in elegance.
