The client’s brief for Cheyne Row was clear from the outset: a Rose Uniacke–inspired aesthetic—calm, considered and timeless, with a strong emphasis on natural materials, quiet luxury and understated elegance. Decoroom responded by creating interiors that feel effortlessly refined, allowing the architecture to breathe while subtly elevating each space.
At Cheyne Row, each room was approached as a distinct stage in a cohesive story—balancing the home’s elegant period architecture with a tailored, contemporary furnishing scheme designed to resonate with a discerning Chelsea buyer.
From the moment you step through the door, flow and function were paramount. The entrance and principal reception spaces were furnished to highlight circulation, scale and social gathering areas. Soft, generously proportioned seating was arranged to encourage conversation, while layered lighting introduced warmth and depth. A muted, tonal palette and carefully chosen artwork enhance natural light and architectural detailing without overpowering the space.
In more intimate zones such as studies and secondary living areas, Decoroom introduced inviting yet purposeful pieces that suggest lifestyle and use—writing desks, occasional chairs and side tables positioned to frame views and create moments of pause. Natural textures, handcrafted finishes and subtle contrasts add interest while remaining true to the restrained aesthetic.
Bedrooms were styled as tranquil sanctuaries. Thoughtfully dressed beds, bespoke joinery and minimal bedside furnishings create a sense of calm and retreat, while soft linens and gentle lighting reinforce the home’s restorative quality. Bathrooms and dressing areas were styled with restraint, focusing on balance, proportion and a spa-like simplicity.
